Q. Will I be able to have a voice in Resident Life?

 

A. Yes, we encourage our residents to make suggestions in developing a positive and healthy resident life. Any and all suggestions are encouraged towards Macadam Court administration, programs and services. We are here for you!

 

Q. How do I become a resident of Macadam Court?

 

A. Macadam Court is open to all people in need of assisted living regardless of ethnicity, disability, religion, gender or veteran status. There is an application, interview and evaluation process for interested residents at Macadam Court.

 

Q. As an interested resident of Macadam Court, will I be able to put my name on a waitlist?

 

A. Yes, your priority is based on the date of your deposit. If you would like to pass on a current availability, you can remain on the waitlist and request a specific time you would like to be contacted.

Q. Will current residents have a priority to move to another room over waitlist candidates?

A. Yes, currents residents will have priority to move internally before a waitlist candidate. A request must be made to move upon availability.

Q. What amenities are available at Macadam Court?

A. All residents at Macadam Court will have private rooms with telephone and cable access. In addition, there is a full dining area, large common living area with big screen television, sofas and reading chairs, maintained grounds and landscaping, a large view deck and a small outdoor courtyard for fresh air as well as easy access for transportation.

Q. Briefly describe the services that are being offered to residents of Macadam Court.

A. Included in your monthly fee will be:

  • 24 hour staffing, supervised by a Registered nurse
  • Three meals per day plus snacks
  • Case management services
  • Services available for an additional fee according to individual need such as medication supervision, assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting), Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • Weekly light housekeeping and linen service
  • Routine maintenance of building and grounds
  • Light recreational and social activities
  • Scheduled transportation to health care visits or specific requests
  • Health promotion and information
  • Basic Cable television service and telephone
  • Emergency call system
  • Building security system
  • Fire alarm system with sprinklers and smoke detectors throughout house
  • Window coverings and wall-to-wall carpeting in all resident room
  • What housekeeping services are provided?
  • Your monthly fee will include linen service, weekly housekeeping including vacuuming, light dusting and cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms and all common areas. Windows will be cleaned periodically.

Q. What kind of transportation services is available?

A. Transportation can be scheduled according to advance requests for residents. This can be arranged for medical, dental or personal trips.

Q. Will there be extra storage spaces available?

A. Yes, each resident will have there own assigned storage space on the lower level of the house. All storage spaces are located indoors accessible from the main floor. Assigned storage spaces are required to be locked at all times.

Q. Is parking available?

A. There are two visitor parking spaces available at the main entrance of the house. There is also additional visitor parking on the south side of the house near the rear entrance.

Q. Are Pets Allowed? Is Smoking Allowed?

A. No, Macadam Court is Pet and Smoke free. To maintain the wellness of our residents we do not allow smoking or pets.

Q. May I have guests to celebrate birthdays or special events?

A. Yes. We encourage friends and family members to come and celebrate with our residents! We feel that birthdays and special occasions shouldn’t be missed and also promote healthy living. Please let us know in advance so we can help plan with you.

Q. Does Macadam Court accept Medicaid participants?

A. Macadam Court is not Medicaid eligible.
